Here they are...classroom companions for the next 10 months of my life. These are the children I am responsible of, whose lives i may make or remake. I am happy to have them with me. They may be big in number but i know we'll get along.
In our "getting to know you" phase, i was amazed to hear their wonderful life stories. Like you and me they too have marvelous stories to share.
I find them very fragile. They have not reached maturity yet. But isn't it that I am here to prepare them so that they will be strong as they face the challenges of life, the same manner my teachers taught me how to be strong in the journey I am now taking.
I call my pupils by name, and mind you, i have memorized their names in just two days.
I have to admit that in our three weeks of being together the adjustment was not too easy for me more so for them, they are too young to handle responsibilities, like being quiet when the teacher is not around. Once we had our meeting, before I left i gave them something to do, but when i came back, someone was crying. Her seatmate teased her. well i know little by little they will reach certain level of maturity. I hope i can make their lives useful. Yay!
