my beautiful life.

‘twas two months earlier than the expected due of mother’s giving birth. March 7, 1983, when a premature baby was delivered through the effort of a doctor and the blessing of God. It was a sensitive birth, the baby was pulled our from the cervix by forceps, mother had high blood pressure, with a little devil’s touch, one or both of them could have died. Luckily, the baby survived and managed to live for 25 years.
that was how I was born. very delicate yet it was a picture of God’s presence in our midst. He was there guiding my mother and the doctor just to bring a beautiful life into the world. My birth was with God's blessing, He has reasons why i am alive right now...

I was raised by my grandmother, she was like my mom, in fact, i spent longer time with her than i spent time with my mother. (grandma is 86 y.o now)There were 4 women who raised me, my grandma, my aunt, my sister and my mom. My sister was the one who sent me to college, she was my guide and my best friend. When i was 12, my farther was shot dead, that was my first sorrow. But that didn't hinder me to success, i took it as a challenge to pursue my dreams in life, i may not be the person that i dreamed to be, ( i am not a sportscaster/professional journalist) but i have earned my degree, just enough to send one brother to college, *paying it forward*. I have been to love, millions of times. i have been to bliss, thousand times. RECENTLY I FOUND AN INSPIRING LOVE that makes me feel so happy, so alive, so beautiful. yay!

thank God i am alive.. many were born but unable to see the world. many were conceived but were not born, many were killed due to hunger, or unwanted pregnancy, or they were a product of unwanted circumstances like rape. Let us pray for these poor souls.

nonetheless, all of us have reasons to be alive. amen.
