check up!!!

last Friday i was in that big city with my sister for a check up.i was referred to an endocrinologist by a co-teacher. 2005 when i was diagnosed with Sub Acute Thyroiditis aka Hyperthyroidism. I was then given anti thyroid drugs and inderal for my heart palpitations.

I was/ am a hard headed patient though, i did not really take my medicines religiously. :P i stopped taking meds after about a year or so and it has been 3 or 4 years since i did not take the prescribed medicine nor seen my doctor. And just after that devastating thing, i am again suffering abnormal heart palpitations that caused me to go back to a check up.

Before i went to the specialist, i already had my blood tests, (TSH, t3 and t4) and oh, thanks to my health plan.. i did not pay even a single cent. plus the ultrasound of my anterior neck.. was also care of that plan.

Dr. Clara met me at around 6 pm. she is a busy one, as in!! she asked me about my history, since i am a newie..and......... she explained the lab result and the ultrasound, it was normal!!! and she explained why... and i was not really paying attention to the further explanation... i was so soooo happy. :D she did not even give me any medicine to take and i was advised to see her after one or two years or when i feel something is wrong.. :D
let me quote her with "i cannot associate your palpitations with your thyroid problem since you don't have any".... what can i say!!

most likely this abnormal palpitation is caused by my depression and I AM WORKING ON IT!! i am!!
well, i do want to believe that most of the illnesses are psychosomatic!!

you may agree or not, that's how i think.

after the check up my sister and i went to a park for a rebonding!!! of???? our being sisters of course. ;P i did have a great time. thanks sis! and thanks be to God.
